Podcast lead generation for B2B: how it works, what it costs, and the real funnel numbers (2026)
Podcast lead generation means inviting your ideal buyers onto your show instead of pitching them. Here's the exact funnel (750 invites -> 3.8 clients a month), costs, and who it's not for.

Podcast lead generation is outbound where the email you send is an invitation, not a pitch. You invite your ideal buyer to be a guest on your show, you interview them for 30 minutes, and by the end they're asking what you do. In our campaigns, about 80% of guests take a follow-up call and 10-20% of qualified guests become clients.
I've interviewed 3,000+ founders this way (15 CEOs a day at peak). It's the highest grossing lead gen system I've ever run, and I've run a lot of them.
Why does a podcast invite work when a cold pitch doesn't?
Because most people go out and ask. We go out and give.
A cold pitch says "do you have 15 minutes so i can show you what we're building?" That's an ask from a stranger with nothing in it for the reader. Nobody forwards a sales email.
A podcast invite says "we'd like to put you on the record and give your work an audience." Same channel, opposite direction. An invitation gets walked upstairs to the CEO, because bringing the boss a platform makes the person who forwarded it look good.
And on the call itself, the frame flips. On a sales call the buyer runs the clock. In an interview, you're the one asking the questions:
- "what are you building, and where are you in it?" -> stage and traction
- "what's the hardest part right now?" -> the pain, in their words
- "what have you already tried?" -> budget and what failed
- "what happens if nothing changes this year?" -> urgency
- "who else is in the room on a decision like that?" -> the buying process
That's a full BANT qualification (budget, authority, need, timeline) that leaves the other person feeling listened to instead of worked.
What does the funnel actually look like?
Here's a typical month on our Entry plan. Projections, not guarantees, but these are the ratios we see:
| Step | Per month |
|---|---|
| Podcast invites sent | 750 |
| Interested replies | 90 |
| 15-min pre-interviews (run by us) | 47 |
| BANT-qualified guests | 38 |
| Sales conversations | 17 |
| New clients at a 10% close rate | 3.8 |
If your client is worth $3,000 a month, that's about $11,250 in new MRR every month, and it stacks. You break even at roughly 1.1 closed clients a month.
What does it cost?
| Plan | Price (3-month plan) | Qualified guests over 3 months |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | $2.9K/mo | ~75-150 |
| Core | $5.1K/mo | ~150-300 |
| Max | $7.3K/mo | ~300-600 |
Month to month is $3.4K for Entry. On top of that you pay about $130-150 a month for your own sending stack (Namecheap, SendGrid, Instantly). You own the accounts.
How long does it take?
- week 1-2 -> domains, mailboxes, warm-up. deliberately slow, this is what protects deliverability
- week 3 -> invites go live under your name, first pre-interviews booked
- week 4 -> first interviews recorded
- month 2-3 -> volume compounds, deals close out of relationships
First qualified guests usually land inside 7 days of the invites going live, and the first sale typically comes inside 31 days. That's also why there's no one-month option. Nothing compounds inside thirty days.
Isn't everyone doing podcast outreach now?
Lots of people send mass "be on my show" blasts. That's not this. We invite fewer, better-fit guests, pre-interview every one of them, and run a real show. Most of the CEOs we invite are doing their first podcast ever, and it's the only conversation in their week that isn't a pitch.
Who is this not for?
- your customer lifetime value is under ~$10K
- you sell to consumers
- you don't have a validated offer yet
- you need results in days, not weeks
If that's you, i'll tell you on the call and save you the money.
What results has it produced?
- Joseph Onorati (DFDV, ex-Kraken): 25 podcast confirmations in 48 hours
- Anto Patrex (CosmicBrain, ex-xAI): 30+ VC leads in under 48 hours, $1.1M closed right after
- Matheus Pagani (Venture Miner): 200+ founder replies, turned into a strategic partnership

FAQ
What is podcast lead generation?
Podcast lead generation is an outbound sales method where you invite your ideal customers to be guests on your podcast instead of asking them for a sales call. The interview builds trust and qualifies them, and about 80% of guests take a follow-up call afterwards.
How much does podcast lead generation cost?
At gtm.ventures, done-for-you podcast lead gen starts at $2.9K per month on a 3-month plan ($3.4K month to month), plus roughly $130-150 per month in sending software on your own accounts.
How long until podcast lead generation produces clients?
First qualified guests usually show up within 7 days of setup and the first sale typically lands inside 31 days, but most revenue comes in months two and three because deals close out of relationships.
Who is podcast lead generation not for?
It doesn't make sense if your customer lifetime value is under about $10K, if you sell to consumers, or if you need results in days rather than weeks.
